Larry Foley

Larry comes to us from Placentia Bay, Newfoundland. He has not been far from a guitar since the age of six and is a self-proclaimed "guitarophile". Larry is the main songwriter of the band who's good looks are vaguely reminiscent of a young John Lennon. As well Larry plays acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin and sings lead vocal. He is also a member of the bands Jeezus Murphy and The 8-Track Favourites.

Larry's professional musical career began in 1989 as he came to love traditional music while at St. F.X. in Nova Scotia and later when studying in Ireland for an M.A. in Sociology. This time in Ireland has had a lasting effect on Larry. In fact, he speaks with a lilt that seems caught halfway between St. John's and Cork, Ireland.

The influence of The Beatles and Elvis Presley on Larry is apparent in their stage show. Just check out his Elvis bit at the end of Reena. On stage Larry is full of energy and wit. Off stage he is incredibly friendly and charming.
