The Punters: Named Newfoundland's "Group of the Year"

Loggerhead Records recording artists The Punters have good reason to celebrate.

The Music Industry Association of Newfoundland and Labrador honoured The Punters with the "Group of the Year" title on Sunday November 19th.

"Yeee-Haaahh", was the response from lead vocalist Larry Foley. "Group of the Year is a title that we are thrilled to receive. The Punters are a hard working band and this award acknowledges that. The MIA's is not just a local pat on the back, but an award of merit & distinction".

The Punters were also nominated in the "Pop Rock Artist of the Year" category.

The Punters closed the awards ceremonies at the St John's Arts & Culture Centre with a rousing rendition of "Candlelight & Wine" from their most recent album "Will You Wait".
